In Memorium: Art Davis

Art Davis

The counselors and staff of SCORE Chicago are all deeply saddened by the death of fellow counselor Art Davis, who passed away unexpectedly on October 15.

Fellow counselor Bob Paul says “Art was a good and caring friend. He was always looking for ways to help others. I will remember our time together and will miss him at SCORE.”

Art was honored a month ago for his 2008 contributions to the chapter:

“For increasing the number of client sessions at the Des Plaines branch; for developing a strong relationship with the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce by arranging for SCORE speakers; for placing articles and advertisements in the Chamber newsletter; and for attending numerous Chamber events.”

Medusa’s Stones, a recent client of Art’s and Irv Ellis, became a chapter success story.  As owners Sheila and Demetrios Papaionnou said in that story: “Advice that SCORE counselors provided made an immediate impact on Medusa’s Stones.  Their initial excitement and interest in the business gave us the confidence that we were on the right track.”

Your fellow counselors, your clients and your friends at the Des Plaines branch will miss you, Art.
