SCORE Chicago Announces 2008 Counselor Awards

On the chapter’s annual meeting on September 18, chair Larry Lakin announced the following awards for outstanding counselors in the past fiscal year:

Outstanding Contribution AwardBill Broderick “For his leadership in expanding territories and opening new branches, for recruiting and training new counselors, for developing community outreach programs, and for counseling excellence.”

Outstanding Contribution AwardEshwar Noojibail “For his leadership and innovation in revising and improving the workshop program, for his support of the marketing effort, and for counseling excellence.”

Branch Manager AwardArt Davis “For increasing the number of client sessions at the Des Plaines branch and for developing a strong relationship with the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce by arranging for SCORE speakers, for placing articles and advertisements in the Chamber newsletter, and for attending numerous Chamber events.”

Special Recognition AwardMamie Andry “For participating in Chapter activities, working on brochures, email blasts, outreach and workbooks, and for counseling excellence, all while working at a full time job.”

Rookie Of The Year AwardBrian Stinton “For opening up counseling at Chicago State University, for participating as a consulting project manager, for helping to maintain the Chapter database, and for counseling excellence.”

Special Recognition AwardCarlos Bastidas “For his work in establishing and promoting relationships with Accion and Hacia, for his work in Latino community outreach, for the initiative he has shown in all Chapter projects, and for counseling excellence.”

Counselor Performance AwardEarl Shraiberg “For performing the highest number of counseling sessions in the Chapter while maintaining a follow-on rate of at least 35%.”
